In 2016, turnovers from tour to Son Doong Cave achieved nearly VND32 billion

(Quang Binh Portal) - According to information from the Chua Me Dat Company, Ltd (Oxalis), in 2016, the company has effectively exploited the expedition tour of "Conquering Son Doong - the world"s largest cave", contributing to meeting the increasing demand of visitors to explore the outstanding universal values of the world"s natural heritage, Phong Nha - Ke Bang National Park.

Visitors joining in the tour will be provided with safe protective equipment such as trekking boots/shoes, lights, life jackets... The experts will instruct and support the use of equipment at neccessary sites to ensure safety for tourists.

The company has also established a rescue team to make a ready for first aid for visitors when the problems happen; bought risk issurance for visitors; installed system of stair to ensure safety without affecting to environmental landscapes, minimizing the negative impacts to natural environment and cave landscapes.

In addition, Oxalis has also well implemented work of popuparlization on the National Georaphic Magazine, the New York Times, the Google Adwords, the Tripadvisors... and top magazines in Vietnam; conducted a popularisation program on the "Discovery of Vietnam" channel of VTV; built website and published brochures, booklets.

Especially, the company has promoted Son Doong Cave through the film "Kong: Skull Island" and organized a cave excursion for a group of ambassadors from the United Kingdom, Argentina, Sweden, Italy, Australia, and the Czech Republic, as well as U.S. Assistant Secretary of State Tom Malinowski and Miss Universe Vietnam 2008 runner-up Duong Truong Thien Ly, contributing to making a strong impression on international visitors and spreading beautiful image of Quang Binh tourism to the world.

Besides, Son Doong cave has been recognised as the world's top destination by the travel magazines. Total revenues from January to August of 2016 achieved nearly 32 billion dong, of which 3.2 billion dong in taxes and more than 3.4 billion dong in business income tax were collected here.

The exploitation of Son Doong tour has also solved stable jobs for at least 80 local people with an average income of 6 million dong a month.

Reportedly, in order to uphold effectiveness of popularization for tourism industry, attracting foreigners to Quang Binh province, contributing to promoting socio-economic development of the locality, the Management Board of the Phong Nha - Ke Bang National Park has recently submitted to the provincial People's Committee to ask a permission for the Oxalis in collaboration with the Park's Management Board to open "Conquering Son Doong - the world's largest cave" tour for 2017 (from January to August of 2017).
