At the meeting, Mr. Le Hung Phi, Director of the Department of Culture – Sport and Tourism presented the draft plan for organizing the Quang Binh Culture – Tourism Week 2011 with various diverse culture and tourism programs.

The event includes the Dong Hoi Culture – Tourism Week with many cultural activities, traditional folk festivals and a special art performance program to welcome the opening ceremony of Sea Square, Dong Hoi tourism season 2011. The province will also host many cultural and tourist activities in the localities, including opening Song Chay ecotourism tour; sea tourism activities and a live television programme to introduce the potentials of cavern system in Phong Nha – Ke Bang national park region.

Speaking at the meeting, Chairman agreed on the plan for organizing the Quang Binh Culture – Tourism Week 2011 and asked related units and localities to quickly build up the organizing plan in details; arrange time and programme in accordance with the province’s general plan. Chairman requested related agencies and localities to coordinate with the Vietnam Television to well implement a live television programme held in the evening of May 8th, aiming at popularizing the potentials of cavern system in the Phong Nha – Ke Bang National Park region to foreign and domestic tourists.
