Vote for world natural wonders: three candidates of Vietnam ranked in the top 21 candidates

In the morning of January 20, in Ho Chi Minh city, representatives of activists in the fields of culture and arts, economy, religion and city youth pressed button and called for the mass to actively vote or nominate for three candidates of Vietnam, including: Ha Long Bay, Phong Nha - Ke Bang Cave and Fansipan Mountain Peak in the voting for world natural wonders held worldwide by the New Open World.

At present, the campaign enters the second stage (stage for voting) with 168 candidates of 76 nominated nations. The United States is the nation, which has many nominees (17) and the South America is the region, which has many nominees (51). Only Vietnam has three nominees in the top 21 candidates until January 14 2008 (Ha Long Bay 7, Phong Nha - Ke Bang Cave 8 and Fansipan Mountain Peak 12).

Voting for world natural wonders will be continued through December 31 2008 (voting for nominees will be carried out in the address http://www.new7wonders.com). The list of selected 21 candidates will be announced in January 2009 and will go forward to the next stage of voting. In the summer of 2010, the New 7 Wonders of Nature will be officially declared.
