Quang Binh signed cooperation agreement on tourism development with Quang Nam province and Da Nang city

Accordingly, cooperation program on tourism development between three localities focuses on four fields, including exchanging information about tourism development; popularizing and developing tourism; developing tourism products and tourism development planning and investment.

At the conference, representative of the Department of Culture, Sport and Tourism of Quang Binh province introduced about potentials and strengths of Quang Binh tourism, its obtained results in the first six months of 2014 and tasks as well as solutions in the forthcoming time.

Through the conference, Quang Binh hopes Da Nang city and Quang Nam province to share and exchange their experience to boost tourism cooperation, exploit each side’s advantages, develop new tourism products, join hands in promoting tours of each locality, aiming at attracting tourists and creating a regional tourism association.

Reportedly, total number of tourists to Quang Binh in the first half of 2014 achieved over 1.8 million, up 114% against the same period last year, of which international tourists reached nearly 27,500, up 70,8% from the same period last year. International arrivals are mainly from Australia, South Korea, Japan and countries of ASEAN, Western Europe and North America. Tourism turnover reached nearly VND1,810 billion, increased 149%, of which turnovers from tourism sector reached VND266 billion, up 42% against the same period last year.
