As of this time, the last preparations for five-year anniversary of Phong Nha - Ke Bang acknowledged as a World Natural Heritage has been generally finished. Infrastructures for the anniversary were completely built; letters of invitation were sent to the delegates; work of propaganda and popularization were strengthened. Under the plan, activities to welcome the five-year anniversary of Phong Nha - Ke Bang acknowledged as a World Natural Heritage will be taken place from July 18 to July 27 2008, including: an Exhibition of artistic pictures with the topic "Hand in hand to preserve the Heritage"; a fair "Quang Binh Tourism and Trade International Investment 2008"; village fair; arts festival; boat race on Son River and so on. In the evening of July 26 2008, an official ceremony will be held to welcome the five-year anniversary of Phong Nha - Ke Bang acknowledged as a World Natural Heritage with musical performances, letting off fireworks, letting out flower garlands and coloured lanterns.

Closing the meeting, Vice-chairman Pham Thi Bich Lua, Head of the Festival's Steering Board asked related units to check the plan, pay much attention to environmental sanitation, food safety, security and public order during the festival; all departments and branches to hang flags and slogans to propagandize and publicize for the anniversary.
