Quang Binh strengthens sustainable tourism development

 (Quang Binh Portal) - In 2016, Quang Binh province has made remarkable changes on tourism, ensuring a sustainable development of local tourism sector.

Many different types of tourism and products have been invested and developed such as Conquering Son Doong - the world's largest cave, Discovery of Tu Lan cave and Tien cave system, a pilot exploitation of tour to Hamada valley - Tra Ang cave, community-based tourism development, experiencing tourism, etc.

During the year, Quang Binh welcomed about 1.99 million tourists, of which international arrivals were an estimate of nearly 37,200 tourists, tourism turnovers were estimated to reach over 1,685 billion dongs.

In the forthcoming time, in order to deploy the implementation of comprehensive solutions to resume tourism sector after the environmental inccidents, gradually developing tourism to become a key economic sector, Quang Binh will focus on promoting tourism popularisation and promotion, strengthening work of planning and taking advantages of the supports and investment from the State; mobilising all social resources to develop tourism, paying attention to new tourism products and building tourism culture; strengthening State management, training and development of human resources for tourism sector.

In addition, the province will also pay attention to improving quality of products, types and services of tourism; developing new products, including 57 new caves at the Phong Nha - Ke Bang National Park; attracting and creating favorable conditions for the key tourism projects; quickly implementing the cable car project, upgrading and embellishing Bang hot water spring, contributing to gradually bringing Quang Binh to become a big tourism center of Vietnam and the region.
