This will be a good opportunity to spread the traditional culture of Dong Hoi people, socio-economic achievements, potentials and strengths of the city to domestic and foreign visitors.

Accordingly, the city will focus on urban embellishment and environmental sanitation, strengthen propaganda on main streets to create a jubilant atmosphere; publish Dong Hoi tourism handbook and brochures, a TV reportage to introduce about Dong Hoi Culture and Tourism Week 2018; organize a photo exhibition named "Dong Hoi, then and now" and launch a campaign entitled "Joining hand in hand to protect marine environment".

In addition, many cultural and sports activities and traditional festivals will be also organized such as a street parade, "Cheo can, Mua bong" performance, the coloured lantern and flower-garland releasing festival on the Nhat Le river; street music; cuisine festival; Bai choi folk singing festival; Cu festival, traditional boat racing festival, etc.

Especially, an art performance to welcome the Dong Hoi Culture and Tourism Week 2018 will be organized at the Bao Ninh Sea Square on the evening of April 30th.

The Dong Hoi Tourism - Culture Week is one of important events of the city, aiming to enhance the community's awareness of position, role and benefit of tourism sector to the socio-economic development of the locality; mobilise all resources for tourism development; attract many attendances of local people, create a jubilant and friendly atmosphere, gradually building a civilized and wealthy Dong Hoi city to become a tourism city.
