Attending the workshop was Mr. Tran Cong Thuat Vice-chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; Mr. Pham Trung Luong, Deputy Director of the Institute for Tourism Development Research, the Ministry of Culture - Sport and Tourism together with representatives of related agencies and localities in the project region.

At the workshop, the New Zealand Tourism Resource Consultants (TRC) presented the sustainable tourism development plan for Phong Nha - Ke Bang National Park Region to collect the ideas to supplement the plan for submitting to the Provincial People's Committee for approval. Mr. Pham Trung Luong made a speech to analyse and evaluate the reality, tourism potentials, strategic orientations, vision and goals of the plan.

The workshop focused on discussion about main contents of the sustainable tourism development plan as well as clearly defined the role and responsibility of related agencies in the process of implementing the sustainable tourism development plan for Phong Nha - Ke Bang National Park region for the 2010-2010 period. The sponsors of GTZ, KFW, ADB and Phong Nha - Ke Bang National Park also discussed on the strategy, plan and budget fund for the targeted periods after the sustainable tourism development plan for Phong Nha - Ke Bang National Park region is approved by the Provincial People's Committee.
