BBC shoots film on Son Doong Cave, the world's largest cave

(Quang Binh Website) - The BBC (the British Broadcasting Corporation) has made an official dispatch to send to the Provincial People’s Committee and the Department of Foreign Affairs to shoot a film on Son Doong Cave - the world’s largest cave in Phong Nha - Ke Bang heritage.

The film crew will include seven members from the BBC along with experts from the British Cave Research Association and the Faculty of Geography, the University of Natural Science, the Vietnam National University, Ha Noi.

The film will focus on featuring extremely rare and precious flora and fauna system found in the largest forest of Son Doong Cave; depicting the structure of Son Doong Cave, including system of arch cave, gigantic tunnel, 2.5km-long underground river system and 70m-high stalactite pillars. The film is expected to begin shooting in early July, 2011.
