Quang Binh welcomes 2,583,620 visitors in ten months of 2015

(Quang Binh Portal) - In 2015, Quang Binh tourism has made many important breakthroughs when Phong Nha - Ke Bang National Park was recognized by UNESCO for its second time and Nhat Le beach was ranked in the top 10 most attractive beaches in Vietnam selected by the Vietnam Records Organisation.

In particular, the province has successfully organized Quang Binh Cave Festival and an investment and tourism promotion conference, contributing to attracting a large number of foreign and domestic tourists to Quang Binh for visiting and relaxing.

As of late October, Quang Binh tourism was estimated to welcome 2,583,620 visitors, rose by 3.8% from the same period last year; of which international arrivals were 48,039 visitors, rose by 10.5% compared to the same period last year. Total revenues from the tourism sector reached VND 2,583,620 million.

In order to achieve these results, the province has paid attention to investment in infrastructure at tourist sites; organized training courses to improve tourist skills; strengthened tourism popularization and developed local tourism products; opened new expedition tours and adventure tours to attract tourists.

From now to end of the year, in order to increase tourism revenues and complete the scheduled plan for 2015, the tourism sector will focus on strenthening activities to popularize strategic tourism products, including cave tourism, adventure tourism, ecotourism, spiritual tourism and sea tourism; training and fostering humance resource for tourism sector to improve quality of services.
