Tourists to Quang Binh highly increases during New Year holiday

(Quang Binh Portal) - A large number of tourists flocked to Phong Nha - Ke Bang National Park and the grave of late General Vo Nguyen during New Year holiday. Thanks to good preparations, destinations met the visiting demand of tourists across the country.

Despite of the rainy and cold weather, the Phong Nha - Ke Bang Tourism Centre greeted nearly 1,000 tourists on January 1, a-year-on-year increase of 35 percent.

The tours and routes attracted a large number of tourists on this occasion, including Phong Nha - Tien Son, Chay River - Toi Cave, Rao Thuong - En Cave and Sinh Ton (Survival) - Thuy Cung Cave. Of which, Phong Nha - Tien Son route, named as a twin masterpiece of the Creator", attracted the largest number of tourists for visiting.


Thousand of tourists visited late General Vo Nguyen Giap's grave on the first day of New Year holiday

Besides, thousands of tourists flocked to visit late General Vo Nguyen Giap's grave in Vung Chua - Yen Island on New Year holiday to commemorate and express deep gratitude to great contributions of late General Vo Nguyen Giap - an old brother of the Vietnam People's Army and an outstanding child of Quang Binh land.

According to statistics of the guard team at late General Vo Nguyen Giap's grave, nearly 5,000 tourists paid a visit and offered incense at the resting place of the General on the first day of 2016.

The Ron border post under the Headquarters of Quang Binh Provincial Border Guards has strengthened the forces in coordination with the Public Security of Quang Trach district to ensure security and order at the grave.
