The province currently has 280 tourist accommodation establishments, including a five-star hotel, two four-star hotels, 14 restaurants meeting standards and 31 travel agencies, of which five international travel agencies and 26 domestic travel agencies.

In the past time, tourism promotion has been conducted with many diversified forms and abundant contents, contributing to building trade name of Quang Binh tourist destination in the world map.

Alone in 2015, Quang Binh province has organized conferences to promote and associate tourism in Ho Chi Minh City, Hanoi, Da Lat and Buon Ma Thuot; announce tourist logo; edited and reprinted DVD, map and booklets on tourism in English and Vietnamese.

Besides, the province has coordinated with domestic and foreign film crews and magazines to popularize and introduce about tourism potential, system of caves in world natural heritage site, Phong Nha - Ke Bang National Park. In addition, the province has also coordinated with units to launch flight routes from Donghoi to Ho Chi Minh City, and tourism transport route between four provinces of three countries, including Quang Binh (Vietnam) - Khammouane (Laos) - Nakhon Phanom and Sakon Nakhon (Thailand).

In 2016, in order to achieve the specific target of welcoming 3.3 million domestic visitors and 100,000 international visitors with a total tourism revenues of over 4,000 billion, the province will set up the plan and establish travel stops, amusement parks, service area and trade center; invest in tourism infrastructure development, especially infrastructure system of transport, telecommunications, electricity and banking at the province's tourist center; speed up development of exploring tourism, experienced tourism and discovery of world natural heritage site, Phong Nha - Ke Bang National Park.

Besides, the province has also upgraded and improved contents and images of Quang Binh tourism website; build Quang Binh tourism pages on social network; standarize and improve quality of tourist businesses; strengthen popularization on position, roles and benefits of tourism in association with socio-economic development...

Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee directly answers all questions of local tourist businesses at the meeting

At the meeting, representatives of local tourist businesses also contributed their thoughts on existing issues regarding tourism in the province, including unhealthy competition, a lack of entertainment for tourists, and troublesome administrative inspection on travelers. Other business operators addressed the shortcomings seen at the Phong Nha – Ke Bang, a national park and UNESCO World Heritage Site in Quang Binh, including poor infrastructure, security, and power supplies among others.

Speaking at the meeting, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee highly appreciated the results that Quang Binh tourism sector obtained in the past time, especially great contributions made by local tourist businesses.

In the forthcoming time, Chairman asked all tourist businesses, hotels and restaurants continue improving quality of services and tourist staffs, pay attention to food safety and environmental sanitation at tourist attractions. In response to the problems, Chairman Hoai said that competent authorities have been discussing solutions to solve difficulties, helping promote local tourism development.
