Press conference to promote “Quang Binh in the heart of Hanoi” programme
The event was attended by Minister of Information and Communications Truong Minh Tuan and leaders of agencies and localities of Hanoi city.

The culture and tourism promotion promgram, themed “Quang Binh in the heart of Hanoi” will be take place in Ha Noi from March 25-27 with many highlights.
The program aims to lure domestic and foreign visitors to Quang Binh in order to develop its tourism into a spearhead economy, provide a platform for travel operators of Hanoi and Quang Binh to form networking and attract more Hanoi investment into Quang Binh tourism.
This is also an opportunity to popularise the tradition, history, and culture, and sacred land with talented and heroic people while bringing more images of Quang Binh as well as Vietnam abroad.
The cultural and tourism promotion programme "Quang Binh in the heart of Hanoi" includes an opening ceremong of the programme "Quang Binh in the heart of Hanoi" and a special art performance "Quang Binh in songs", which will take place at the Hanoi Opera House with the participation of many famous singers from March 26-27.
A series of events are also planned, including a tourism promotion and connectivity seminar, a photo exhibition “Quang Binh – most attractive destination in Asia”, a cultural space of Le Thuy folk song heave-ho, a marketing programme “Quang Binh – Kingdom of world caves” combined with music activities, among others from March 25-27.
A highlight of the programme will be a space to attract visitors to Son Doong – the world’s largest cave, affording them a chance to experience Son Doong in the midst of Hanoi.
At the press conference, Vice Secretary of the provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee Nguyen Huu Hoai introduced the potential, strength and new products of Quang Binh tourism sector, investment attraction and tourism demand stimulation policies, and plans to open flight services connecting Quang Binh with Thailand’s city of Chiang Mai, and Dong Hoi city with Cat Bi in the northern port city of Hai Phong.
He stressed this is an important event to promote tourism of Quang Binh province, developing it into a spearhead economy.
The central province of Quang Binh boasts the most special tourism resources in Vietnam and Southeast Asia, notably Phong Nha – Ke Bang National Park with an area of over 120,000 ha, twice recognised by UNESCO as a World Natural Heritage in 2003 and 2015 thanks to its geological, geo-morphological, biodiversity and aesthetic values. It is also the first heritage in the region to meet three out of the four criteria for the status.
The locality is also endowed with the longest coastline with a number of pristine, crystal-clear and sandy beaches, and a variety of specialties.
As the native land of the late General Vo Nguyen Giap and labour heroine Mother Suot, Quang Binh also holds special tangible and intangible cultural heritages such as ceremonial songs and Le Thuy folk song heave-ho.
