The master plan on tourism development of Quang Binh province until 2020 and vision until 2025 comprehensively evaluates natural conditions, socio-economic situation, current status and potentials for tourism development; defines viewpoints, objectives, forecast of target data and plans for tourism development. On the other hand, the plan also focuses on organization of the tourism space and infrastructure and physical-technical facilities for tourism; the list of prioritized areas and projects for investment and needs for land use, investment capital and manpower in tourism; assessment of environmental impact and solutions to protecting both tourism resources and the environment; and proposed mechanisms, policies and measures for tourism management and development according to the plan.

The objectives of the plan is to focus on effectively exploiting the potentials and strengths for tourism development, striving to make Quang Binh become one of the largest tourism centers of Vietnam, with a target of achieving the total number of tourists of 11-12% a year; welcoming more than 2.2 million tourists by the year 2020; shifting structure of tourist, of which international tourists increases by 8-10%; income from tourism reaches over VND2,000 billion, growth rate reaches over 20% a year; proportion of tourism in GDP achieves approximately 2% in 2020.

At the meeting, after listening to discussion and contributions from representatives of agencies and localities, Permanent Vice-chairman Nguyen Xuan Quang ordered consultative unit to adjust and complete the master plan on tourism development of Quang Binh province until 2020 and vision until 2025 to submit it to the provincial People's Committee for approval.
