Training course to improve service skills for Son Doong tourist route opened

(Quang Binh Website) - From December 5-14, the Department of Cultural, Sport and Tourism in coordination with the Management Board of Greater Mekong Subregion Sutainable Tourism Development Project opened a special training course to improve service skills for Son Doong tourist route, aiming to meet the demand of visitors for exploring this cave.

Trainees included forest supervisors, potters and guiders of the Oxalis Company Limited.

At the training course, trainees were provided with a good communications skills with tourists; settlement of problems and instruction for safe equipment; regulations on tourist route; knowledge and regulations for guiders; latest informations on tourism development of the province and orientation for development.

In addition, trainees also listened Mr. Howard Limbert, an expert of the British Cave Research Association share his experience and directly instruct some skills on rescues and use of equipment.

Closing the training course, trainees were issued the Certificate by the Department of Culture, Sport and Tourism. This certificate is a compulsory condition for potters and guiders to serve Son Doong tourist route.
