The bilingual photo book is titled “Son Doong Cave – the Underground Paradise”. Ha Quoc Anh, the author, also made a Son Doong calendar earlier this year.

The hardcover book has two sections with the first containing general information about Son Doong cave and the second including eight chapters, featuring photos and stories, which highlight the unique beauty of the cave and the author’s real experiences exploring it. It was published by Phuong Nam Book Company. The book will help promote Quang Binh’s tourism to local and international tourists.

Ha Quoc Anh, Director of Phuong Nam Printing Co. Ltd., who already made a 10-day trip to the stunning cave, said, “It was worth my effort to make an expedition to the cave. I’m happy and proud that Vietnam has a unique breathtaking site like Son Doong.”

“The underground part of the cave is stunning, so I decided to create this photo book to share with those who haven’t had a chance to come to Son Doong and to evoke the curiosity of those wishing to discover the cave.”

Son Doong cave is world's largest cave, located in Quang Binh province, Viet Nam. It is found by a local man named Ho Khanh in 1991 and was recently discovered in 2009 by British cavers, led by Howard Limbert. The name "Son Doong" cave means "mountain river cave", It was created 2-5 million years ago by river water eroding away the limestone underneath the mountain Where the limestone was weak, the ceiling collapsed creating huge skylights...

Son Doong Cave is more than 200m wide, 150m high and approximately 9km long. Within its caverns lie a jungle and a river, and the cave is large enough to fit a 40-storey skyscraper inside. The cave was classified as the largest in the world by the British Cave Research Association.

The American news site Huffington Post declared the cave an absolute must-see. Son Doong was also listed among the "52 Places to Go in 2014" by The New York Times Travel.
