Deadline for popularization of Dong Hoi - Chiang Mai air route

 (Quang Binh Portal) - The Provincial People"s Committee had recently held a meeting to organize a working trip to Chiang Mai (Thailand), aiming to promote tourism development between the two provinces of Dong Hoi - Chiang Mai and open an international flight from Dong Hoi to Chiang Mai.

 Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Huu Hoai presided over the meeting. Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Tran Tien Dung and representatives of related agenceis and travel units attended the meeting.

Under the plan, Quang Binh will begin international flights from Dong Hoi to Chiang Mai (Thailand) on early July twice a week. It takes two hours to travel from Dong Hoi to Chiang Mai with the expected expenses of 220 million VND per flight.

At the meeting, participants focused on discussing many solutions to strengthen tourism promotion between the two provinces of Quang Binh and Chiang Mai, contributing to accelerating the progress of opening international air route from Dong Hoi to Chiang Mai, creating favorable conditions to lure foreign tourists to Quang Binh.

Accordingly, Quang Binh will organize a working trip to Chiang Mai (Thailand), aiming to link tourism, popularize tourist destinations in Quang Binh in particular and some tourist attractions in the neighboring provinces and pay visits to some tourist sites in Chiang Mai to introduce and popularize for tourists in Quang Binh.

Speaking at the meeting, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Huu Hoai agreed to establish a delegation, led by Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Tran Tien Dung, to Chiang Mai to exploit the market of tourists by air.

Chairman asked the related agencies and localities to complete tourism promotion on late February. He pledged to creat all favorable conditions on legal procedures as well as call for the enterprises to promote the flight from Dong Hoi to Chiang Mai.
