In 2007, concretely, there was 562,296 turns of people visiting to Quang Binh, increased by 7.3%, of which international tourists were 23,066 turns of people, increased by 40.2% compared with year 2006 and achieved 135.7 of the plan. Social revenues from tourist activity achieved VND 270,446 million, increased by 26.7% compared with year 2006 and reached 108.2% of the plan, of which revenues from tourism sector achieved VND 107,693 million, increased by 38.4%, paid VND 19,107 million for the State budget, increased by 20% against year 2006.

The targets and tasks of the Quang Binh tourism in 2008 are to continuously implement the targets that the province's tourism development Program in the 2006-2010 period proposed, making a remarkable breakthrough in the quality, competitive ability and activity efficiency of enterprises on the basis of investment promotion, diversification of tourist products and new tourist services with high quality, making the best of advantages and reducing disadvantages to a minimum to accelerate the speed of tourist development. Further international cooperation and tourist promotion; expand the tourist space and market to attract tourists and improve the effectiveness of business.

In 2008, Quang Binh tourism strives to achieve the set targets, namely: Total tourists coming to Quang Binh is estimated at 670,000 turns, increasing by 12% compared with year 2007; of which international tourists are 35,000 people, increasing by 51% compared with year 2007. Visitors coming to Phong Nha - Ke Bang World Natural Heritage are 280,000 people, increasing by 14.6%; of which international tourists are 20,000 turns, increasing by 54.6%. Total revenue from tourism is VND 370,000million, increasing 26%. Paying VND 23 billion for the State budget, increasing by 20%.

Together with striving for the implementation of the planned targets, Quang Binh tourism continuously focuses on popularizing the tourist potentials and strengths; speeding up the application of information technology in the work of propaganda and popularization; organizing cultural activities, festivals and tourist events in order to lure tourists, of which paying much attention to well organizing the 5th anniversary of Phong Nha - Ke Bang recognized as the World Natural Heritage.
