Nearly 16,000 visitors flocks to Phong Nha - Ke Bang on holidays

(Quang Binh Website) - According to Mr Le Thanh Loi, Director of the Centre for Phong Nha-Ke Bang's Ecotourism and Culture (Quang Binh), nearly 16,000 foreign and domestic visitors flocked to tourist destinations of Phong Nha - Ke Bang National Park during the three-day holiday on the occasion of Vietnam Reunification Day (April 30) and Labor Day (May 1).

Accordingly, tourist destinations included "Discovering the nature of Rao Thuong and Swallow Cave (En Cave)"; "Exploring the mystery of the 1,500 meter deep Phong Nha Cave"; Mooc Spring ecotourism trail; temple of commemorating Road 20 Quyet Thang; Chay River - Dark Cave and so on.

"Most of arrivals to Phong Nha are domestic visitors from State agencies, schools and families. Especially, the center this year also greeted a large number of foreign arrivals to Phong Nha", Mr Loi said.

On holidays, restaurants and hotels in Dong Hoi city were overloaded, price of rooms increased by 20-50% against that of normal days; services for eating and drinking in Dong Hoi and Nhat Le and Bao Ninh beaches were also on the rise.

Dong Hoi railway station also increased two routes from Ha Noi to Quang Binh and vice versa. The station greeted 1,000 arrivals during last days. In addition, Vietnam Airlines also increased three flights to Quang Binh on holidays.
