The overall construction plan for Phong Nha - Ke Bang National Park until 2025 is a main component of the plan for conservation and promotion of values of Phong Nha - Ke Bang National Park with the aim of setting up the scope of protection, functional areas and spatial organization of population, tourism and infrastructure system... and preserving natural heritage region in the process of promoting values of heritage, especially values of tourism.

The overall construction plan displays and evaluates the status of scope of study, especially outstanding values of geological and biological diversify, landscape zoning, history and culture and tourism development; objectives for development; requirements for conservation and promotion of values of Phong Nha - Ke Bang National Park; and construction planning orientations for Phong Nha - Ke Bang National Park.

The scope of direct study of the overall plan covers an area of around 40,860 ha, comprising 20,860 ha of core zone and 20,000 ha of buffer zone of the Phong Nha - Ke Bang National Park.

The plan's objective is to focus on three main subjects, namely natural heritage, tourists and local residents.

Speaking at the meeting, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee applauded the efforts made by consultative units to complete the overall construction plan for Phong Nha - Ke Bang National Park until 2025.

Chairman asked consultative units to collect contributions to perfect the plan with a focus on updating figures, clearly defining scope of study, complying with functional areas, respect the approved plans and supplementing the new plans.

Chairman stressed that the planning for Phong Nha - Ke Bang National Park should develop towards conservation and promotion of values of this world natural heritage.
