Nearly 210 thousand tourists visit to Phong Nha - Ke Bang National Park

(Quang Binh Website) - On the occasion of the five-year anniversary of Phong Nha - Ke Bang national Park recognized as a world natural heritage, there were 64 thousand tourists visiting to Phong Nha Cave in July of 2008, increased 12 thousand people (up to 22%) in comparison with June of 2007.

Especially, the number of international tourists to Phong Nha - Ke Bang National Park in the first seven months of 2008 was estimated at about 18 thousand people, increased 12% against the same period of 2007. The tourists mainly came from the countries of Thailand, Holland, Canada and Australia...

In general, the number of tourists coming to Quang Binh in the first seven months of 2008 achieved 294 thousand people, increased by 25.4% against the same period of 2007, of which 210 thousand people visiting to the world natural heritage Phong Nha - Ke Bang National Park. The revenue from tourism industry in July was estimated to achieve VND72 billion, up to 20% compared with the same period.
