The US newspaper, the Los Angeles Times, recently listed the 29 most attractive tourist destinations in the world for tourists to visit in 2009. And Vietnam’s Phong Nha Ke Bang National Park in the Central Province of Quang Binh was named on that list.

The Phong Nha Ke Bang National Park has a system of natural and uniquely interesting water grottoes and is covered with thick jungle, as well as abundant wildlife and plants. The Park is also recognized by UNESSCO as a World Natural Heritage Site.

After visiting the Park, tourists can then visit an international resort with modern facilities in the city of Dong Hoi, or relax on nearby deserted beaches. The Dong Hoi International Airport, opened only a few years ago, is well prepared to greet tourists and make them feel welcome.

Melbourne, London,Doha, and Hawaiiwere also honored by the Los Angeles Times newspaper.

Phong Nha – Ke Bang National Park is located in the middle of the Annamite Mountain Range, 40km from Dong Hoi, 500 km from Vietnam’s capital of Hanoi, and close to the Vietnam - Laos border, just several kilometers to the west.
