Vietnamese sites among world's 10 most beautiful
Ha Long Bay and the Son Doong cave have been named among the top 10 "most breathtakingly beautiful places to visit on the planet" by travel website GlobalGrasshopper.
Ha Long Bay and the Son Doong cave have been named among the top 10 "most breathtakingly beautiful places to visit on the planet" by travel website GlobalGrasshopper.
In the list for 2015 Ha Long Bay ranks third while the world's largest cave, in the central Quang Binh Province, is in the seventh place. According to the information posted on the website, the Son Doong cave is evidence of the world's beauty, inside and out.
Located 165km from Ha Noi, Ha Long Bay is an area comprising 1,600 islands and islets. The majority of these have not been touched and managed by humans to retain their wild beauty. It was named a World Heritage site twice by UNESCO in 1994 and 2000.
