An arts program to welcome certificate-receiving ceremony of UNESCO recognising Phong Nha – Ke Bang National Park as a world natural heritage for second time and kick off Quang Binh Cave Festival

(Quang Binh Portal) – A special arts program themed “Quang Binh – Kingdom of Caves” was staged on August 14’s night in Dong Hoi city in Quang Binh to welcome certificate-receiving ceremony of UNESCO recognising Phong Nha – Ke Bang National Park as a world natural heritage for second time and kick off Quang Binh Cave Festival aimed at promoting local tourism.

The program was live broacast on Quang Binh Television and more than 30 television channels nationwide.


Musical performance entitled “Quang Binh que ta oi”

The arts program included three parts, featuring local cultural characteristic in the praises of the Party, Uncle Ho, General Vo Nguyen Giap, Quang Binh land and people as well as achievements made by Quang Binh people through historical periods.

The event attracted the participation of artistic troupes from the Vietnam National Music Song and Dance Theatre, the Military University of Culture and Arts, the Vietnam National Academy of Music, the Vietnam College of Dance and Lam Son – Thanh Hoa Song and Dance Theatre together with artists from Quang Binh University and Dong Hoi City and singers from the provinces and cities nationwide.

Especially, system of stage was carefully designed in the open with 3,000 seats for delegates and audiences.

The program also broadcast clips on biodiversify, kingdom of the caves and local tourist products and had an exchange with Mr. Howard Limber, an expert of cave from the British Cave Research Association, who has spent more than 25 years on discovering system of caves in the world’s natural heritage site, Phong Nha – Ke Bang National Park.


A colourful fireworks show on Nhat Le River

Closing the program was a colourful fireworks show on Nhat Le River.
