At the ceremony, representatives of the two sides informed each other of their socio-economic achievements, especially the potential and strengths of tourism with many famous destinations and diverse forms of tourism such as cave tourism, sea tourism, spiritual tourism, etc.

At the signing ceremony, the two sides discussed cooperative agreements on tourism development in the forthcoming time.

Accordingly, the two sides agreed to increase the rate of tourists between Hai Phong and Quang Binh year by year; build the plan on tourism development and promote advantages of each side; make the driving force to develop sustainable tourism; increase the benefits of economy, culture, society and business environment for the enterprises and people of the two localities.

The two sides also agreed to cooperate four contents, including: Building the policy on tourism management and development of the locality; developing tourism products; strengthening tourism promotion; calling for tourism development and investment.

At the sigining ceremony, representative of Jestar Pacific Airways also signed a Memorandum of Understanding to open Dong Hoi (Quang Binh) - Cat Bi (Haiphong City) air service with two flights a week in May this year.

The operation of the Dong Hoi – Cat Bi air route will create favourable conditions for people of central coastal localities to visit Hai Phong and northern localities, especially tourists to Phong Nha – Ke Bang National Park.
