Son Doong Cave is ranked among the top 10 best virtual tours of the world’s natural wonders

Traveling to Son Doong Cave via virtual reality technology is realized by National Geographic. Son Doong 360 is an original project of National Geographic to preserve caves in digital form before being used for tourism promotion purposes. This virtual tour will take viewers on a journey created from 360-degree images and tailored sound effects for each landscape. The tour through the light-filled caverns and huge sinkhole jungles with authentic, high-definition images helps viewers observe the cave’s geology, flora and fauna in details.
In addition to the majestic scenery of Son Doong Cave (Quang Binh, Vietnam), 09 virtual tours selected by The Guardian are: Grand Canyon and Yosemite National Park (USA); Mount Everest (Nepal); Aurora viewing tour in some Nordic countries, Russia and Canada; Zhangjiajie National Park (Hunan, China); Giant Causeway (Northern Ireland); Perito Moreno glacier (Argentina); Ambrym Island (Vanuatu); Namib Desert (Namibia).
Due to the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic, actual tourism activities have been halted, many well-known travel websites have introduced viewers to famous destinations via the form of virtual tourism.
