Master plan on Thac But - Gieng Tien ecotourism site approved

(Quang Binh Portal) - The Provincial People"s Committee has recently made Decision No.2359/QD-UBND on approving the master plan on the Thac But (But Waterfall) - Gieng Tien (Fairy Well) ecotourism site.

Accordingly, the ecotourism site has a total area of 37.0 ha belong to the communes of Hong Hoa and Yen Hoa (Minh Hoa district). It borders the branch of Khe Roon in Hong Hoa commune on the north, the National Road 12A on the west, Khe Roon on the east and the high mountains in Tan Hoa village, Yen Hoa commune on the south.

The master plan aims to exploit values of spiritual culture of native people and natural landscapes, organise tourism services on spiritual culture, ecological entertainments, food, parks, discovery of landscapes as well as learn about local culture.

The ecotourism site is built on the basis of exploitation of the two main cultural sites, namely But Waterfall and Tien Well, organise a connection between ecotourism functions and natural landscapes along the stream of But Waterfall, and reduce the negative impacts on natural environment.

The master plan is designed four areas, including the active tourism area on the north with a reception area, ecological food, art exhibition - festival and water park; the spiritual tourism area in the centre of the tourism site with spiritual park, But waterfall, ecological park and Tien well; the native tourism area with interesting experience in assocation with the daily life of residential community; and the ecological nature reserve with the consevation of natural landscapes and wild animals.

Reportedly, the works are mainly designed to build one floor with the roof in accordance with natural landscapes, giving top priority to use local and eco-friendly materials.
