The organization of the 5th anniversary of Phong Nha - Ke Bang National Park recognized as the World Natural Heritage aims to summarize the obtained achievements in preserving and bringing into play the values of the Heritage; concurrently mobilize the people, especially young generation, to continuously improve the awareness of preserving the Heritage; propagandize and popularize Quang Binh tourism potentials and the unique values of Phong Nha - Ke Bang National Park.

Under the plan, the Steering Board will hold a press conference in March 2008 to announce the Instruction of the Provincial People's Committee, the Plan of the Steering Board on organizing the activities for the 5th anniversary of Phong Nha - Ke Bang National Park recognized as the World Natural Heritage. Concretely, making a documentary film entitled "five-year Quang Binh tourism after Phong Nha - Ke Bang recognized as the World Natural Heritage"; publishing the book dubbed "Quang Binh Cultural Heritage"; organizing a competition to study the work of preserving and promoting the values of the Phong Nha - Ke Bang National Park; organizing an exhibition of artistic pictures with the topic "Hand in hand to preserve the Phong Nha - Ke Bang World natural heritage"; holding a scientific workshop on "Global scientific values of the Phong Nha - Ke Bang World Natural Park"; opening the Phong Nha - Ke Bang eco-tourist route; Nghe Temple festival; musical performance; holding the fair "Quang Binh international investment, trade and tourism 2008" and so on.

The opening ceremony of the 5th anniversary of Phong Nha - Ke Bang National Park recognized as the World Natural Heritage will be held in Son Trach commune, Bo Trach district on July 26 2008.
