Quang Binh welcomes more than 220,000 visitors during holiday week

(Quang Binh Portal) – Quang Binh welcomed more than 220,000 visitors, of which nearly 7,000 international arrivals during the six-day holiday starting from April 28 to May 3, according to a preliminary report of the Provincial Department of Culture, Sport and Tourism.


Visitors to Phong Nha reach a record number during holidays.

Tourist attractions included Phong Nha cave, Thien Duong (Paradise) Cave, Tam Co Cave, Mooc Water Spring, Dark Cave and others.

Especially, there are more than 160,000 visitors to General Vo Nguyen Giap’s grave and about 37,000 visitors to Phong Nha – Tien Son cave, of which 11,000 to Phong Nha cave on April 30, a highest number ever recorded.

During holidays, tourist sites paid attention to improving quality of services and organizing a series of cultural activities to serve visitors such as a two-hour concert in Phong Nha Cave, featuring popular songs under the baton of Japanese conductor Akira Ota; Tu Lan Challenges of the Oxalis Company Limited, the Dong Hoi Culture and Tourism Week 2015 and others.
