Concretely, over the past three days, total number of tourists to Quang Binh achieved about 15,000 arrivals on April 30th, including 1,300 foreigners, marking a 25 percent increase against the same period last year; 25,000 arrivals on May 1st, including 3,000 foreigners, an increase of over 100 percent against the same period last year; and approximately 22,000 arrivals on May 2nd, including 2,000 foreigners, an increase of 40% against the same period last year.

Number of visitors to Mooc water spring sharply increases

During three-day holiday, the Phong Nha - Ke Bang Tourism Center welcomed more than 26,000 tourists, including about 1,000 foreigners, a sharp increase against the same period last year (Chay river - Dark cave increased 280%, Mooc water spring up 300%, Phong Nha - Tien Son Cave up 15%).

Over the past days, despite of meeting many difficulties in dead fish with huge volumes and unknown reason, with the timely direction of the Department of Culture, Sport and Tourism, tourism destinations, hotels and restaurants have planned to change menu, aiming to ensure food safety and meet taste of tourists.

Besides, the Department has also directed the enterprises operating tourism to well welcome and serve tourists during the holiday. Therefore, work of security, food safety and quality of services have been guaranteed for touritst to Quang Binh.
