Press conference on ceremony in tribute to officials sacrificed in Len Ha cave

(Quang Binh Portal) - The Department of Information and Communications Tuesday held a press conference on the Plan for organizing the ceremony in tribute to 13 officials who sacrificed their life in Len Ha cave in 1972. Vice Chairman of the provincial People"s Committe Nguyen Tien Hoang presided over the conference.

The press conference was attended by members of the organization board of the memorial ceremony; representatives of press agencies and central reporters based in the province.

At the press conference, a leading representative of the Department of Information and Communications presented the detailed Plan for organizing the ceremony in tribute to 13 officials from Information High Command who sacrificed their life in Len Ha cave in 1972.

Accordingly, the memorial ceremony is jointly host by the Quang Binh provincial People's Committe, Ministry of Information and Communications, Information High Command and Vietnam Television.

Main activities include an incense-offering ceremony at Tam Co Cave and Hill 37 (on July 2nd at 08h00 am); a requiem ceremony in Len Ha Cave, Thanh Hoa commune, Tuyen Hoa district (on July 2nd at 14h00) and an incense-offering ceremony in Len Ha cave (on July 3rd at 16h00). The memorial ceremony of 13 officials from Information High Command died in Len Ha cave will be taken place at the stadium of Dong Le town (Tuyen Hoa district) and live broadcast on VTV1 channel in the evening of July 3rd, 2016.

Speaking at the press conference, Vice Chairman of the provincial People's Committee stressed that this is an opportunity to pay tribute to heroic sacrifice for national independence and reunification made by 13 officials from the Company 09, the regiment 134, the Information High Command in Len Ha cave, Thanh Hoa commune, Tuyen Hoa district on July 2nd 1972. It also helps enhance the national pride, educate patriotic tradition for young generations and continuously strengthen propaganda on conservation and promotion of historical values of national relic of Len Ha cave.

Besides, Vice Chairman expressed his hope that this event will help launch movement of socialization and mobilize assistances from organizations and enterprises as well as social resources to restore and build projects in Len Ha cave. Through the ceremony, it aims to spread the image of Quang Binh and promote development of spiritual tourism to domestic and foreign friends.

In addition, Vice Chairman of the provincial People's Committee asked press agencies to speed up propaganda on glorious victories and heroic sacrifices of 13 officials from the Information High Command died in Len Ha cave as well as work of conservation and promotion of historical values of national relic of Len Ha cave and some other historical sites along Ho Chi Minh road.
