According to TripAdvisor, Quang Binh - Kingdom of Caves was described as a heaven for exploration and experiences with various tourism destinations and routes for those wishing to explore the stunning beauty of countless charming destinations such as Son Doong cave, Tu Lan cave system, Da Nhay Beach, Phong Nha - Tien Son cave, Chay river - Dark cave among others.

Overcoming many difficulties caused by the marinee incidents in 2016, in the first months of 2017, Quang Binh has focused on tourism promotion acitivities at home and abroad; launched many new tourism products, organize numerous promotion programs and festivals, and inaugurate more flights to the province to bolster tourism such as "Quang Binh in the heart of Hanoi" program, Quang Binh cave festival 2017, opening of Dong Hoi - Cat Bi (Hai Phong) air route and Dong Hoi - Chiang Mai (Thailand) air route - the first international flight from Vietnam to Chiang Mai.

In particular, thanks to tourism promotion events and new domestic and international flights, the locality attracted a number of tourists as well as international filmmakers.

Following the success of the Hollywood movie “Kong: Skull Island”, directed by Jordan Vogt-Roberts, with some scenes filmed in Quang Binh province, the pristine beauty of many caves in the province have captured the attention of many Hollywood filmmakers such as Woody from Thailand, Victor Vu and Gareth Edwards (director of the movie "Star War").
