Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee delivers his speech to open Quang Binh Cave Festival in 2019

Speaking at the opening ceremony of the Quang Binh Cave Festival in 2019, the Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee stressed that Quang Binh has been always ranked among the top tourist destinations in Vietnam in recent years. In particular, the discovery of Son Doong Cave -the world’s largest cave- was announced in 2009; explorers have recently discovered an underground river system located at a depth of more than 60m in Son Doong Cave. Currently, exploration activities have been still carried out and the number of 400 caves is constantly increasing. In addition; Quang Binh also has potential and beautiful beaches; and diversity of national intangible and tangible cultural imprints; as well as the friendliness, hospitality and beauty of Quang Binh people. Quang Binh is proud of owning the land of the most valuable caves; the leaders and people of Quang Binh will always preserve and develop valuable values for Vietnam and humanity, especially Phong Nha - Ke Bang National Park is described as “blue diamond” by Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc.

The art program to open the Quang Binh Cave Festival in 2019 led the audience to follow the story of journey to explore the hidden beauty of Quang Binh province with the majestic, impressive and pristine things. So far; there has been still a great mystery of the world; of Miss Vietnam Tieu Vy, the ambassador for the festival, in the role of travelers; and of Rohan, Indian people, coming here and then stay to work at a travel agency of world’s leading adventures in Quang Binh.

In particular, the audience enjoyed a special art and music program with the participation of actors, artists My Tam, Tung Duong, Le Anh Dung, Kieu Anh, Bui Lan Huong, Dinh Huong, circus artists Quoc Co, Quoc Nghiep, etc.

In addition to the unique art performances is 06 reports introducing Quang Binh tourism; Le Thuy heave-ho song; Quang Binh - the mystery of cave kingdom; Cave legend; Quang Binh rendezvous, especially the direct connection to Mouse Cave, a cave in Tan Hoa commune, Minh Hoa district where was the background for Hollywood blockbuster film King Kong: Skull Island. The elaborate, high quality reports reflect the advantages, characteristics and development of Quang Binh tourism.

The art program to open Quang Binh Cave Festival in 2019 is directed by the Provincial Peopl’s Committee, organized by the Department of Tourism and implemented by Vietnam Television Station and Ho Chi Minh City Golden Lotus Company. This is an activity in the framework of Quang Binh Cave Festival in 2019 with the aim of promulating and introducing the potentiality and strength of Quang Binh cave tourism development, helping the audience to have a panoramic view of Quang Binh - a land has a long history, contains many unique cultural and spiritual values, is an attractive destination in Vietnam and Southeast Asia with the system of majestic caves.

Quang Binh Cave Festival 2019 takes place during a month including many special activities and its highlight is the art program to open the festival with the theme “Quang Binh - Endless Mystery”.

On this occasion, the Organizing Committee announced and awarded the Aisan Record Certificate for Paradise Cave of Phong Nha - Ke Bang National Park which has the most unique and magnificent system of stalactites and stalagmites in Asia. Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee also presented the medal for program sponsors; the certificate of merit for individuals and organisations contributing to the preservation and promotion of heritage values.
