Among those to Quang Binh, there were more than 8,000 foreign arrivals from Thailand, South Korea, Japan, France, Holland and China.
Remarkably, almost all tourist sites such as Phong Nha – Ke Bang National Park, Thien Duong Cave, Temple of Princess Lieu Hanh, Tam Co Cave and Than Dinh Mountain have attracted large numbers of visitors to Quang Binh.
According to Mr Nguyen Van Ky, deputy director of the Quang Binh Department of Culture – Sport and Tourism, a positive sign for the province’s tourism activities early in the year is that a number of tourists have increased both in number as well as time and quality for staying. This is a new sign representing the attraction of tourism destinations as well as cultural festivals in Quang Binh province.
“In order to continue to develop tourism activities in Quang Binh with a sustainable and high growth, the provincial tourism sector is urgently speeding up the spread of tourism images, preparation for the opening of cultural and spiritual festivals such as Drum Beating festival of the Macoong people (in Lunar February), the Full Moon festival in Third Lunar month of the Lunar Year in Minh Hoa district and etc to broadcast to local people as well as visitors”, also said Mr Ky.
