In order to meet the demand of travelling of the people, especially tourists to visit Phong Nha - Ke Bang National Park, the provincial Department of Transport in coordination with relevant agencies plans to open a bus route from Donghoi city to Phong Nha.

Accordingly, Donghoi - Phong Nha bus route has total length of 54km and takes 90 minutes to complete with 14-16 trips each day.

The bus will depart from Quang Phu commune (Dong Hoi) - Truong Phap street - Tran Hung Dao street - Nam Ly market - Nguyen Huu Canh street - National Road 1A - Hoan Lao town (Bo Trach district) - provincial road 2 - Ho Chi Minh road to Phong Nha Tourism Center (Son Trach commune, Bo Trach) and vice versa.

Chairman of the provincial People's Committee Nguyen Huu Hoai said that the opening of Donghoi - Phong Nha bus route aims to both build a civilized tourism city and ensure traffic safety for local people and tourists to Quang Binh province.
