Delegates cutting ribbons to open helicopter tours

The ceremony included Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council Luong Ngoc Binh; Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation Hoang Dang Quang; Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Huu Hoai; Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Tran Tien Dung; representatives of Northern Vietnam Helicopter Company and press agencies in the province.

Speaking at the ceremony, Vice Chairman Tran Tien Dung expressed his thanks to the Vietnam Helicopter Corporation and the Northern Vietnam Helicopter Company for their assistance in opening helicopter tours in Quang Binh, affirming that helicopter tourism is a form of new tourism, has a great attraction to tourists. This is a unique approach to enjoy the world natural heritage site Phong Nha - Ke Bang National Park.

In the past time, Quang Binh tourism has focused on exploitation of tours of Phong Nha - Tien Son, Mooc water spring - Thien Duong cave - Tam Co Cave, Chay River - Dark Cave and Rao Thuong - En Cave.

In 2013, especially, the province officially launched pilot adventurous tour of Son Doong Cave - the world's largest cave and opened new tours, including Sinh Ton Valley (Survival Valley) - Hang Thuy Cung (Aquarium Palace Cave) and Tu Lan Cave system.

The destinations not only attracts both domestic tourists but also international ones. The opening of helicopter tours will be a new development step in exploiting abundant tourism potentials of the province.

After the opening creremony, the Northern Vietnam Helicopter Company successfully organized the first two maiden flights for provincial leaders, and 10 journalists in the province on a one hour tour of Quang Binh attractions.
