The total number of tourists to Quang Binh was estimated to reach around 998,000, up 6.54% against the same period last year, of which, international arrivals reached 22,800, up 49,86%.

Total turnover from tourism activities was estimation at about VND 843,819 million, up 42.92% from last year’ same period, contributing VND 62,133 billion to State budget, increased by 4.75% from the same period of 2012.

In order to obtain these results, from the beginning of the year, the Department of Culture, Sport and Tourism has strengthened State management on tourism; directed businesses and units to improve technical infrastructures and equipments; opened training courses to enhance the quality of human resources and actively promote tourism activities at home and abroad.

In addition, the Department has also cooperated with the provincial Tourism Association and businesses to organize trade fairs and exhibitions to promote tourism and exploit new tourist products and routes to draw tourists and improve the efficiency of tourism activities in the province.
