Vice Chairman of the PPC awarded the Certificate of Merit of the PPC to collectives and individuals

In the period of 2014 - 2019, Quang Binh tourism has seen a sustainable development with average growth rate of 16.1%, total revenue from tourists reaching nearly 17%. Overcoming the marine environment incident in 2016, members of the Quang Binh Tourism Association had strong investment, growth and development. Particularly in 2019, the total number of tourists to Quang Binh is estimated at 4.8 million, in which there are 250,000 international arrivals. Phong Nha - Ke Bang continues to be on the list of the most experienced destinations in Vietnam by Lonely Planet, the world's leading travel magazine.

In the third term (2019 - 2024), Quang Binh Tourism Association will continue to strengthen the apparatus of the Association and its affiliates; create an operating environment, protect and improve member benefits; strengthen cooperation and closely coordinate with departments, agencies, localities to orient market, develop product, propagate and promote tourism; at the same time, contribute ideas to complete tourism development policies and effective operating mechanisms; support tourism businesses through provision of consultancy and professional training; provide market information for businesses; to be a bridge between businesses and local authorities, leaders at all levels, between domestic and foreign business communities in order to develop tourism quickly and sustainably.

With the successes achieved in the second term, the Quang Binh Tourism Association and its members and businesses with the provincial tourism industry will continue to make efforts to boost activities and strive to turn tourism into a key economic sector of the province, affirming the position of Quang Binh tourism in Vietnam and regional tourism maps. In 2020, strive to welcome 5.5 million visitors to Quang Binh; By 2030, Quang Binh is one of the leading tourist centers in the region.

At the Congress, members focused on discussing, pointing out several shortcomings and difficulties in tourism business activities; at the same time, proposing solutions to improve service quality such as: Promote activities of connecting and linking, gradually eliminate the seasonality of Quang Binh tourism; improve the quality of tourism human resources; have flexible mechanisms for affiliates to play their roles and complete tasks in specialized fields...

Adressing at the Congress, Vice Chairman of the PPC acknowledged and highly appreciated the contribution of Quang Binh Tourism Association to the growth and sustainable development of provincial tourism. He also emphasized that in the coming time, Quang Binh Tourism Association should continue to develop newly, diversify and improve the quality of tourism products and services, in which special products need to be formed with differences and high competitiveness; promote the application of information technology to tourism activities; at the same time, together to build a civilized tourism environment in Quang Binh, affirming Quang Binh is a safe, quality and hospitable destination, each citizen is a tourist guide. The Vice Chairman of PPC requested the Tourism Association to actively coordinate with the Department of Tourism, departments, branches and localities, to be an extended arm of the State management agency to improve the effectiveness of management: guide and disseminate legal provisions for members and businesses; enhance socialization in investment, promotion and development of tourism.

Launched the Executive Board of Quang Binh Tourism Association for the 2019 - 2024 period

The Congress voted the 3rd Executive Board of Quang Binh Tourism Association, for the 2019 - 2024 period with 37 people. Mr. Nguyen Van Ky was re-elected as President of Quang Binh Tourism Association for 2019 - 2024 period.

On this occasion, 01 collective and 02 individuals were awarded certificates of merit by the PPC; 10 collectives and 06 individuals were awarded certificates of merit by Vietnam Tourism Association for their many contributions to tourism business activities in Quang Binh.
