Quang Binh receives more than 1.1 million tourists

(Quang Binh Website) - According to the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, Quang Binh province has welcomed more than 1.1 million visitors in 2013, an increase of 9.1 per cent compared to the same period last year. 

Of which, the number of tourists staying overnight in the province has reached 975,925, an increase of 9,6 per cent against the same period last year. Total revenues from tourism has reached more than VND1.3 trillion (US$61 million), an increase of 11 per cent compared to last year.

The province has also introduced and opened new tourism sites, such as Sinh Ton Valley – Thuy Cung Cave, Rao Thuong Spring – En Cave, Chay River – Dark Cave, Tu Lan Cave, especially adventure tour of Son Doong Cave .

Local tourism authorities and enterprises have made great efforts to enhance the quality of local tourism, improve infrastructures and co-ordinate services with neigbouring provinces.

In addition, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism in coordination with the Quang Binh Provincial Touirsm Association and local enterprises has organized a lot of events to promote tourism and introduce new tours and tourist products, aiming at luring foreign and domestic tourists to Quang Binh and enhancing tourism activity of the province.
