It is estimated that approximately 160,000 tourist arrivals visited Quang Binh, increased by 8.6% against the same period of 2015 and 95% against the same period of 2016. Of which, international arrivals reached 8,000 visitors, grew by 2.6% from the same period of 2016 and 71% from the same period of 2015.

Some favorite destinations included Phong Nha Cave, Thien Duong Cave, Chay Rive - Dark Cave, Tam Co Cave and Road 20 - Quyet Thang, Hoang Phuc Pagoda, Princess Lieu Hanh temple, Than Dinh Mountain, Tu Lan Cave system in Minh Hoa district...

Especially, more than 30,000 tourists visited the grave of General Vo Nguyen Giap in Vung Chua - Yen Island on this occasion.

Besides, many new destinations also attracted a large number of tourists for relaxing and enjoying seafood, including Hamada Valley - Tra Ang Cave, Thien Duong Cave - Heaven Well, Yen Phu Lake, Chay Lap water sport area, beaches of Da Nhay, Bao Ninh, Quang Phu and Hai Ninh.

In order to attract tourists, a series of attractive and diversified activities were organized during April 30 and May 1 holidays such as Gala Dinner Party in Sun Spa Resort and Muong Thanh Luxury Nhat Le with a participation of many famous singers; race boating festival on Son River, Nhat Le River; Dong Hoi Cultural and Tourism Week; water sports such as sailing boat, water motor, paragliding, volleyball... bringing a lot of interesting experience for tourists.

In addition, nearly 400 new hotels, including the three-star and above hotels, have been put into operation on this year's holidays. The standard restaurants have also seen an increase in number, size and quality of services, meeting the increasing demand of tourists when coming to Quang Binh.
