Promote Chiang Mai's tourism destinations in Vietnam

 (Quang Binh Portal) - On the morning of September 20th, the Tourism Authority of Thailand held a programme to introduce and popularise Chiang Mai"s tourism destinations in Vietnam.

The event was attended by leaders of the Quang Binh Department of Tourism; representative of Jetstar Pacific Airlines, 70 enterprises from Quang Binh province and big travel companies in Vietnam.

On the side of Thailand, there were Mrs. Napasorn Kakai, Director of Office of Tourism Authority of Thailand in Viet Nam, Mrs. Pinnat Charoenphol, Director of Office of the Tourism Authority of Thailand in Chiang Mai and 30 big tourism enterprises from Thailand.


Tourism enterprises of Vietnam and Thailand exchange and reach an agreement in supplying services and tourism destinations

This is the first time Quang Binh is selected as the venue for organising a tourism promotion program by a foreign country. The event will open a good opportunity for Quang Binh tourism to popularise its trade name to foreign countries and promote international cooperation on tourism.

The programme focused on introducing Chiang Mai's destinations and tourism products linking Quang Binh and Chiang Mai in particular Vietnam and Thailand in general via the international flight between Dong Hoi and Chiang Mai, the first direct flight from Vietnam to Chiang Mai.

Speaking at the programme, Mrs. Pinnat Charoenphol, Director of Office of the Tourism Authority of Thailand in Chiang Mai highly appreciated tourism potentials of Vietnam in general, Quang Binh and central provinces in particular.

She said that the central provinces of Vietnam are considered as a large market of Chiang Mai and Thailand in the upcoming time.

In this occasion, Mrs. Pinnat Charoenphol, representative of the Tourism Authority of Thailand presented a meaningful gift to the Quang Binh Department of Tourism, aiming to help Quang Binh people overcome consequences caused by the typhoon Doksuri.

After the meeting, the tourism enterprises from Vietnam and Thailand exchanged and signed agreements and contracts on supplying tourism services and destinations to serve tourists via the international flight between Dong Hoi and Chiang Mai.
