Vietnam Heritage Photo Exhibition opens in Quang Binh
This is the 17th and the last of 16 similar events in the country aimed at raising public awareness of the community's active involvement in preserving and upholding natural and cultural heritages in the country.
On the show are the best photos of 6,016 entries submitted by 339 photographers to the Vietnam Heritage Photo Awards 2013 launched by the Vietnam Heritage Magazine and the Vietnam Cultural Heritage Association in last June to mark the 9th anniversary of Vietnam's Cultural Heritage Day (November 23).
The works depict natural and cultural heritages throughout the country such as architectures, sculptures, paintings, handicrafts, music, dances, folk games, festivals and rituals.
The show will run from December 24 to January 2.
Quang Binh boasts spectacular natural landscapes with Nhat Le, Quang Phu, Bao Ninh and Da Nhay beaches, and the Bang mineral hot spring – the only of its kind in Vietnam with the temperature of outflow water at 105 degree Celsius.
It is famous for the Phong Nha-Ke Bang National Park – a world natural heritage sit, especially Son Doong Cave - the largest cave in the world.
