Nearly 1.5 million tourists arrived in Quang Binh

(Quang Binh Website) - In the first six months of the year, nearly 1.5 million tourists arrived in Quang Binh Province for visting its cavern system and the grave of General Vo Nguyen Giap, an increase of 300,000 tourists compared to the same period last year, of which more than 24,000 international tourists from North American and European countries, Australia, Korea, Japan and ASEAN, North American and Western European countries.


Tourists to General Vo Nguyen Giap's grave

The increase is due to the rise in the number of visitors across the country visiting the grave of General Vo Nguyen Giap in Vung Chua - Yen island occasion of the 60th anniversary of Dien Bien Phu Victory. The management unit at the burial site estimated that the general's grave receives 2,000-3,000 visitors per day.

In addition, the province has also orgainzed a series of activities such as its the 410th founding anniversary and 55th traditional anniversary of Truong Son soldiers - the day of opeing Ho Chi Minh legendary road, as well as actively propagandized and introduced the world natural heritage site, Phong Nha - Ke Bang National Park, contributing to attracting a large number of foreign and domestic visitors to Quang Binh province.
